The school was founded in 2006 with international students’ needs in mind. We offer high quality English Language instruction at an affordable price.

Our Students are:

Students who apply for a student visa from their home countries to study English in the US.
Students who are already in the US on an F1 student visa and transfer to IEC to continue their education.
Potential students who may apply for a change of status with USCIS to request permission to study English while in the US.

Our Teachers are:

Experienced instructors with a post-collegiate degree in ESL.
American and multilingual instructors understanding the difficulties associated with leaning English in America.

What You Can Expect:

Be enrolled from 12 weeks (the length of one course) or longer.
Choose the length of your enrollment according to your academic goals.
Pay $420 per month.
Observe 12 week vacation after completing each academic year.

English as a Second Language

This program is a complete multi-level course for adult learners who want to enhance their English language skills in order to successfully communicate in the cultural context of the U.S. It has a natural student – centered communicative approach to language learning based on the integration of four language skills: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing.

Students progress from the beginning (Basic A level) to the Advanced +B level and the TOEFL preparation course as they follow a comprehensive and carefully graded curriculum. The goal of the Program is to ensure that students attain a level of linguistic competence that allows them to use the English language spontaneously and flexibly in order to express their intended message.

Academic Writing Course

This course is designed to sharpen the skills of academic writing in accordance with American essay writing standards. Students are exposed to steps of process writing and refine the techniques needed to compose a variety of paragraph styles and essays, understanding the characteristics of good writing through practicing patterns of organization for process, cause/effect, and comparison/contrast essays.

American Short Stories and Poems Course

This course helps students increase their language skills and knowledge of American culture through study of classic American literature. The curriculum demonstrates the special skills of story writing representing different eras in American culture. A variety of short story selections allows for in-depth study of English and culture in context while expanding the literary horizons of the students.

English for International Communication Course

This course is designed to meet the needs of those students who wish to improve understanding of the use of English for global communication in the business world. Students will learn how to communicate in informal/casual situations and those appropriate for a more formal/workplace environment, abide by accepted rules of business etiquette and workplace culture on an international level.
